OUR CURRICULUM

Based on the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) method that addresses mental health recovery and wellness:

  • Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

  • Domestic Violence

  • Wellness for At-Risk Children and Teens

  • Peer Support

  • Compassion Fatigue

  • Suicide Prevention

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

The WRAP formula explores five key concepts, Hope, Personal Responsibility, Education, Self-Advocacy, and Support, with suitable benefits for ANYONE, ages 7 years and older.

Using WRAP helps to decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling feelings and behaviors, increase personal empowerment and Self-Efficacy, improve quality of life; and achieve own life goals and dreams.

In 2010, WRAP® was recognized by the United States Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as an evidence-based practice and listed in the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices.

Included with the programs are age-appropriate, Peer-to-Peer activity-based support groups called Healthy Opportunities Powerful Expectations (H.O.P.E, H.o.P.e, and h.o.p.e). Created in partnership with Porcelain Dolls of the Carolinas, Inc. (PDC), designed to coach individuals on how to achieve a sense of peaceful balance to retake or reform, and enhance their lives. These groups are often effective in fostering a supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences, provide encouragement, and learn from one another. (Participants are encouraged to bring along a member of their support team.)

  • What they need to do every day to stay healthy and well

  • Things that might upset them and what they can do if these things happen.

  • Conflict Resolution Techniques
